What is the name of this game?

I remember when I was younger I use to play a word problem/solving type game where it would give you say 5 phrases and you had to figure out the who, where and what. For example, you would use the clues and process of elimination to figure out that Gary went to the Beach with a Ball. There was a big grid you would use to mark off incorrect combinations to help you along the way. What is the name of this game?
