What are the benefits of a live-in resident assistant?

I want to know what the pros and cons of a live-in resident assistant are. The job entails that u get a stipend per pay period, live in ( room and board) regular hourly wage for awake hours worked. I want to know is this worth applying for. Thanks.

Excruciating toothache. Relief?

Already been to doctor. Was referred to oral surgeon who can't see me for two more weeks. Need four teeth extracted. One is abscessed and has had me in EXTEME pain for almost two days. I have been awake for 35 hours. Pain killers, ibuprofen...nothing helps. Only relief ive had is by putting ice on the problem tooth, but the pain returns with a vengeance within 10 seconds of ice melting, so I can't sleep. Any ideas? I'm losing my mind.

I CAN'T speak to my doctors about mental state.?

I'm 15 and i CAN'T speak to them. It's now 5am and i'm still awake trying to write a letter to them. I've been hearing and seeing things since 6, it's got amazingly bad i CAN'T speak about it i just completely shut off it's awful i get so mad with myself. I've wrote a few letters now all in completely different ways. I feel every single thing i've wrote but they're all wrote so different.. as in one is really well wrote and then another is completely raging about how i WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE. I know if i don't speak to them today my mum is going to be so mad with me and it's stressing me out so much because it's just IMPOSSIBLE and nobody understands. I think i'd rather die than put up with this now. How do i make them back off and give me SPACE AND TIME to think everything through? They're driving me crazy! I just need to be alone. I'm so sick of everything i don't know what to do. I'm not giving them the letters. I feel as if they're too personal. I'm really low right now. I'm getting so mad because i want the help so much but i actually can't accept it. How do i explain how i feel when it's IMPOSSIBLE to say any of this!!!!!!!!??!??! oh my god i'm so confused! :(

What would you do if this happend to you?

A couple of months ago i started to hear voices . I always seem to hear them as soon as I get in bed. I do not hear anything during the day. I'm wide awake, and stay awake trying to hear what's being said. It sounds like the TV is still on in the living room. These voices are low and I lay there trying to distinguish gender and strain my ears as to what is being said. You can tell if its a man or woman. One time while listening, it was a man and you could hear his different tones of voice as if he were speaking to a group of people. Another time it was a man and woman having some type of conversation. Another time the tone sounded like they may have been arguing. It's not scary to me, it fascinates me. I would just like to know what is being said and what/who is causing this. For the first time one night last week, I heard the voices of a man, woman and what sounded like a much older woman having a conversation and also for the first time I heard a whole sentence of what the man was saying. I should have written it down. Right now the only word I remember him saying was the word "history" or "historical." This happens on an average of 3-4 times a week.

sooo me and my bf had unprotected sex right around the time I was ovulating and I was due the 18th of this month, I started bleeding on the 17th but wasn't like I'm used to, it kept stopping and starting and didn't last as long. For a while now my bfs noticed I have really bad mood swings, I can go from been alright with him then snap at him just like that. I'm always tired, i feel like I'm always sleeping but I never feel awake, I just don't have the energy to do anything, all I wanna do is just stay in bed. Sleep Schedule all screwed up/problems?

No matter how hard I try I can't seem to stay awake during the day. Even if I get a good 8 hours of sleep at night I still feel horribly tired during the day and usually fall asleep for a few hours. And even if I'm up for 24 hours on 1 or 2 hours of sleep I can stay awake energetic all night. Even though I often am horribly tired during the day once the night comes I tend to feel more awake and energetic despite being just as sleep deprived. I really don't know what to do anymore...

I hate to tell you, but any computer running the onboard graphics isn't gonna do very well with games. Especially graphics intense games like Crysis 2. If you want to play Crysis 2, you're gonna have to invest some money on a decent graphics card.

Guy friend stayed the night....?

I am 17, prety mature though, parent swere here nothing was thought to happen, Parents went to store for a little while in the morining)but the guy sort of worried me. I can't sleep and I'm really tired?

I haven't been asleep yet and I can't sleep. I'm really tired. What's keeping me awake is that just before I drift asleep, my heart beats really fast and that scares me. When I awoke, major pain and swelling so went and had xrays. no breaks seen but it is messed up. They splinted the long finger but that does not help my knuckle. some people blame this on pure laziness. but i learned (and it was proven by scientists) that just because we're sleepy in the morning and we don't want to wake up, we're not lazy at all! it's actually based on our energy. every day, we have a certain time period when we have the most energy. "early birds" have most energy in the morning. if you're awake and hyper in the afternoon, that's when you reach the peak of your energy, and you're very active. don't worry.. most people, including me, hate mornings and are active in the afternoon at night! that's why even if you don't get much sleep in a day, you're still awake and active the following night! it's all about your energy sweetie. totally normal. Why isn't my retainer fitting?

So i've had my retainer for a long time now and back when I first got it I wouldn't wear it very much (I only need to wear it when I sleep) so then when I went to the ortho they noticed and told me to wear it every night, so then I have been every night so last night I went to put my retainer in and it won't fit on my right back molar and I have to grid my teeth together just to keep it on! I have a ortho apointment tomorrow and the doctor will think that I havent worn it! it keeps sliding off and now my front gap which has been gone since i've been putting in my retainer is starting to come back because I can't wear it! So now he will think even more that I haven't worn it! what do I do?!

Certain maps wont work on black ops multiplayer?

i have been playing black ops for weeks now and it has never had this problem before. other maps such as jungle, hanoi, and launch load perfectly fine, but maps with snow like summit, WMD, and grid will absolutely not load for multiplayer. does anyone have any idea why or know how to fix the problem?

You did a good job on characterization and bringing the feelings of the characters to the readers, but I am not inclined to read any longer. The baby's dead, then what happens? I feel bad for the characters, which is good, but I don't know why I should keep reading, you need to add a bit of suspense to keep the readers interested.

I just had a dream that I was in my bedroom asleep in bed, only to wake up to extreme screaming inside head?

I remember thinking "This is it, I've finally gone crazy, my family history caught up to me and this is it" (I have a bad family history) and I jumped off my bed in terror and curled into a ball on the floor in front of my bed before calling out for my husband and clinging to my head in pain/terror, I could also vaguely hear him answering as if the screaming in my head was drowning it out. It was so realistic it was as if I had been awake, I still feel rattled from it. I've been known to occasionally have nightmares where I think I'm awake in them. Lately I've been having so many nightmares I'm afraid to go to sleep, I don't know why I keep having them. I have an anxiety disorder so waking up it's like having a panic attack, I'm terrified sometimes. I can't take another nightmare like this one. Does anyone know what's up with me?

A few nights ago I had a REALLY crazy dream. So in my dream, I looked out of my room and into the hallway and saw a woman walk into my room very slowly. As she got halfway into my room, she stopped and looked at me and then her eyes and mouth turned pitch black and she started screaming, like she was possessed, at me. I couldn't move or scream or do anything. But the weird part about the dream was I thought that I was awake and actually saw it. My car wont go into gear, as if the shifter is moving in a circular motion instead of grid what do i do?

I've been very stressed lately and I have a few mental health issues that I'm not sure are related. Yesterday evening I awoke from a nap to a text message. I didn't remember the person, who happened to be one of my best friends. I started talking to him and he answered my questions. I had forgotten a lot about myself, also. With help from him, my father, and my boyfriend, I didn't freak out. They answered most of my persistent questions. I now feel a little lost, but I remember the essentials. Ar 15 bieng an inaccurate sh*t head?

my m&p15 is shooting low. like way low. like 1ft low at 100 yards kinda low i sighted it in at 25 yards. and it shot high about 8 inches at 100 yards. now its shooting low (all of this is at 100 yards) i shot 4 loads of reloaded ammo on the 5 targets on a grid target and they all showed up in one big hole in the middle of the target at 25 yards i couldnt get anything on paper at 100 yards. i would like to know why my riifle is ****in up. i aprecciate your time thank you. also its a sport so it doesnt have a chrome lined barrel if that makes a difference the reloads were shooting the same as factory ammo i shot the same day so its not them... i have a 6x optic by ncstar that my dad got me for my birthday. maybe its bent haha.

Can't remember name of old 90's adventure/puzzle computer game?

It was a sidescrolling game in which you had to solve puzzles in various rooms. Some of the "enemies" were spiders and bats and maybe snakes, and you were able to shoot yellow lasers and could obtain a forcefield that would last a certain time. One of the puzzles was that you had to turn mirrors in a certain direction so when you shot your laser it would bounce off in a certain way. I'm not sure but I think the intro sequence had the guy walking into a pyramid but not entirely sure about that one. There were Greek letters but i'm not sure how they were involved (maybe collected them? i don't know). There was also a puzzle that was some sort of grid with symbols and you had to find pattern or something again it's all really unclear. If you can help me remember the name, that'd be great!

How unhealthy is this and what can I do to fix it?

I'm a 14 year old girl who just came back from Vietnam. The night I came home I didn't sleep at all. Then next day I slept from. 5pm -10 pm. The day after that I slept from 8pm- 12am then 2am- 4am & 4am- 7:40am. That night I only slept for 1 hour and have been awake for almost 48 hours. Usually I sleep for 10 hours. Is this common when you have jet leg? Is my jet lag going away?

Something at the base of my neck in my throat! Help!?

I'm in pain. Actually it doesn't hurt...but in mental pain.I'm in fear that that thing-don't know what-feels like some clump at that little base of your neck that is indented a bit, but on the inside, maybe in my windpipe maybe in the food pipe. I can always feel it and have had it for a few days. I fear that it'll block my breathing while I sleep or awake!! Tilted Picture on a CRT PC Monitor?

Yeah, so I got an old CRT monitor awhile ago, and, well, the picture is very annoyingly tilted 3 degrees counter-clockwise. It happened because it was stored next to some magnets and that caused the yoke to move or something. It has a control panel where you can adjust the rotation, but for some reason it doesn't work. Values 0 and 100 look exactly the same. Anyways, I'll get to the question - Is there any software or anything I can do to fix it without opening it up and adjusting the yoke myself? Anything to adjust the display 3 degrees or something? Google is no help, by the way. I already tried. I couldn't find it in any forums, either. I mean, I'm not stupid; I know where to look first. Yeah, so if you're wondering, I know what I'm doing. I work at a computer shop, but, to be honest, 30,000V DC doesn't sound too appealing. Yep. There's a sticker on the back that says "Warning! 30 Kilovolts DC!" I thought it was lying, but according to Google that's how much you need to fire a electron beam 2 feet. And this repair needs to be done with the screen on and showing a grid to get it perfect, so... Yay electricity.

Why do i feel lifeless?

hey guys, over the past 6 months i've recently gone into these depression sprees where ill be extremely sad and to a point suicidal for no reason at all. Someones it is caused by seeing other people with girlfriends and friends while im at home and try not to make friends due to my last one attempting suicide atleast 10 times. I'll find myself just wanting to go to sleep for alot of the day and treating my family members as if they attack me, even though they did nothing. alot of this may be adding to this, the fact that i start college soon or the fact that my family attacks me for not having a job even though i cant find one. What exactly is an energy grid?

Renovating basement, keep original studs or do this instead?

I don't have time to watch this episode right now, but I assume that they got rid of the moisture first, and then put in the polystyrene. I would not put anything new up until the problem is fixed. Polystyrene will help since it is not affected by water, but if moisture gets into the house it is going to give you problems. If your original studs are right up next to the exterior wall then it would be best if you could put the foam behind it and get rid of heat transfer from the concrete and wood. I would also use a treated base plate for your wall that will further protect you (I'm sure Tom did that too--it's usually code). I just don't want you to have all new walls completed the way the show states and still have moisture problems. If you can't get rid of the water problem yourself by inspecting eave troughs and downspouts above to make sure water flows away from the foundation, making sure all landscaping next to the house slopes away for water run off. purchasing a dehumidifier for the basement that will help if inadequate duct work is installed in the area (like I just had to do when I found mold beginning to grow in the corner of a basement room where water was seeping down through the wall because my down spout was not fastened correctly and the room has no air circulation--thus the stagnant odor that many basements will have).

Our neighbours are pieces of work...we live ruraly off grid..but they live in a large tent..they have 4 out of control dogs, and a 10 month old that looks like a newborn :(..this poor baby is barley 10lbs...10 months old, has one tooth growing in crooked...and no hair...her father takes a lot of prescription medication..that her mother takes as well...they called my friend one day too babysit because the mother took to many pills and couldn't relax...I want to report them..but I'm afraid I will have to get too involved...

Do you need Units for Integrated Algebra Regents 2011?

For the Surface Area Question, i think i forgot to write the units (squared inches or feet). Are units required to get full points, because i was looking at past regents scoring grids and it doesn’t say to take points of for no units. I just want some feedback.

Messed up my sleep pattern and now I feel really odd? :(?

The last couple of nights it's been really hot so I've had trouble sleeping and not really getting to sleep till like 3 to 4 o'clock in the morning and yesterday evening I had a nap and then when I tried to sleep I was perfectly awake and I've got up this morning a little earlier on purpose so that I can get to sleep tonight. I've probably had about six hours sleep. The weird thing is I don't feel that tired and I feel really odd :\.

Off grid solar system?

My total load is 100W. This a going to be off grid. i am going to connect the panel(220W) to charge controller(MPPT), connect the charge controller to deep cycle batteries(216 Ah over 24hrs), connect the batteries to true sine wave inverter to get ac and connect my 100W load, which is going to run 24/7. I want the batteries to fully load in 7-8 hrs after about 50-60% discharge. Is this system sufficient enough?

Things to do when pulling an all nighter?

Its summer vacation and I feel like pulling an all nighter. I sleep until like 2 today, but just in case what are some ways to stay awake? Also, what are some fun things to do when pulling an all nighter? I don't want things like take drugs haha, but things I can actually do. DID DOCTORS REMOVE MY APPENDIX?

Not to long ago, i had to get a benign ovarian cyst removed. I told the surgeon, that while he was at it, he could feel free to remove anything else to save me another trip back anytime soon, meaning my appendix. He said he'd do his best. But because i was in a lot of pain when i awoke, i forgot to ask him whether he took the appendix out or not, so i went home wondering. I didn't bother to ring him up, because i didn't want to bother him, but my dad told me that i would've had a large scar on the right side of me (like he has- his ruptured when he was 2), and all i have are 4 key cut scars (below the belly button, lower left, lower right, and one just above my you know what lol. My mom on the other hand said because of excellent technology now-a-days, he probably took it out & it left no scarring. But i'm not so sure. Has anybody had their appendix out recently or know of somebody who has? Is there a hideous scar? or something really tiny? Or nothing at all?

How can you work out the centre of rotation without tracing paper?

If two shapes are on a grid thing and you are supposed to find out the centre of rotation between them, how do you do this?

Looking for an easy shortcut on Excel (forgot what it is)?

I have to type numbers in Excel. A-H go all the way down to ten 8x10 grid), and in their columns are 10 of the same number. So in A it would be 1,1,1,1......(down to row 10) and in B it's 2,2,2,2,.....(row 10.) Last time I did this I used a shortcut that would automatically put all 1/2/3's in all 10 rows, rather than putting them all in manually. Can some one please tell me what that shortcut is because I have to go to like 1000.... Hopefully I explained that properly, i'll be checking the question often to see if any one has questions on what I mean.

i dont know what is wrong with me. If you care im 18 and a total wreck. My life is horrible and right now i feel like im dying. I think something is seriously wrong with my heart...right now its beating really slow. When i put my hand up to my chest or try to feel my pulse i dont feel anything . I feel like i will just pass out and i keep telling people but no one will listen. I am not unhealthy or overweight or anything but i know somethings not right. Ive been going through a lot lately and i think my heart is giving up...ive been awake all night and cant lay down because i know my heart is beating way too slow and if i stop moving, it'll probably stop :( i had/have anxiety issues but my heart rarely beats fast any more...i think that it is about to just stop...my arm also keeps getting a pain and i know its relatted to my heart and i dont want to go through the pain :( i just want to go away :(

I got a couple of fillings today, and I took a nap afterwards, and now I'm awake (obviously) and I can't open my mouth more than an inch. Also, my novocaine hasn't worn off yet and I'm absolutely miserable.

Help me please! I am terrified of my brother!?

I understand it it normal to have an occasional brawl and all but he is very dangerous. I am 14 almost 15 and he is 16 going on 17. He is a junior in high school and ever sine I could remember he has been incredibly abusive to me and my sister. He just got finished hitting me and i have a large purple bruise on my back and it hurts to walk. He's even chocked me to unconciousness and has made me convulse on more than one occasion. I'm afraid to tell my mom because i dont want her to stress about it, but I'm feeling like I have no choice because he tends to aim at my head and I,m starting to have really bad head aches and my grades are lowering incredibly. I use to be a strait A student now I'm getting C's and It's very hard to stay awake in class. What should I do? I have already spoken to him about it but he only shrugged and told me I deserve everything I get.

Why am I so tired since exams/school term had finished?

School ended for the term/semester 4 days ago and I have a 3 week holiday before the third term starts. Since Saturday I've been sleeping 8-10 hours at night and doing relaxing activities during the day like watching movies, playing Wii or going shopping. I wake up tired and by the late afternoon I feel like I could go to sleep again even though I've only been awake for a few hours. Why am I so tired now that I'm actually not busy and how can I fix this?
